International aquatic feed solutions provider, Coppens International, is now officially in compliance with the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) Freshwater Trout Standard for responsible aquaculture.
Achieving ASC compliance, following an independent assessment, comes shortly after the addition of Coppens International to the family of global animal health and nutrition company, Alltech.
The ASC compliance means that Coppens International can play a key role in providing responsibly sourced aquatic feed to freshwater trout operations around the world seeking ASC certification, as well as assisting them in delivering value and efficiency.
“We are very excited with our ASC compliance,” said Anno Galema, managing director of Coppens International. “We investigated various global certification programmes in the aquatic sector; however, the programme that best suited our needs and those of our customers was ASC.
“The ASC compliance is a result of continuous innovation and sustainable development at Coppens International. Our team strives to provide the very best aquatic nutrition solutions to aquatic producers around the world.”
For almost 24 years, Coppens International has earned a strong reputation for being an innovative, high-quality aquatic feed producer. The company’s compliance with ASC provides customers with a guarantee of its cutting-edge sustainable technologies vital to success in today’s demanding aquaculture industry.
