South Korea Dominates the World Again in Education in 2016

South Korea’s Education ranks the best in the world for a third year in a row.

We don’t know if this is a good sign, or that these countries have chosen to focus more on standardized testing. Rather, then focusing on improving the quality of education. The verdict is still out

CAMDEN, NEW JERSEY, USA, December 31, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ — NJ MED’s Fourth Annual World Rankings of the 20 Best Education Systems for 2016 has South Korea ranked number one. The ranking system measures the success of 209 countries, in education for students 3 to 25 year olds.

The rankings include early-childhood enrollments, international test scores in Math, Science and Reading for 10 and 14 year olds, and High School and College graduation rates. This year, South Korea beat out Japan for the third year in a row, for first place.

South Korean students continue to outperform every country in annual college graduation rates, and finish near the top international test scores in Math and Science for 10 and 14 year olds.

The biggest mover in this year ranking was Russia. They moved up to number three from last year’s rankings, and became Europe’s number one ranked country in education. The other big mover in this year ranking was the United States, which advanced 10 places from number 17 to number 7.

NJ MED’s CEO and Founder, Mr. Albert Mitchell II, said, “For the first time, the world’s three major powers – Russia, the United States, and China – ranked in the top 10. In the beginning of the year, none of them projected, to make the top 10, based on their government’s lack of new investment in funding education.”

Mr. Mitchell II added, “We don’t know if this is a good sign, or that these countries have chosen to focus more on standardized testing. Rather, then focusing on improving the quality of education. The verdict is still out, that teaching to the test, will make smarter future workers.”

Here is the list of the Top 10 ranked countries:
1. South Korea
2. Japan
3. Russia
4. Singapore
5. Finland
6. United Kingdom
7. USA
8. Denmark
9. China
10. Netherlands
